Liz, I remember when we first met you in Nov. 2016. It was such a great pleasure to sit and talk with you & Rich. We discovered that after H.S., that Rich and I had so much in common in regards to our military service.
However, our time that we had with you & Rich were very special for Carol & me. Meeting you at your home, having dinner. Rich helping me wax our sailboat in Maine and joining us at Coach McGregor’s for the golf tournament & meeting up in Booth Bay. Please don’t forget that Carol and I will be there for you. Rich, Rest In Peace, you were a great husband, father & friend.
Ken & Carol.

From Dayton, Ohio, we send warm and tender hugs to all of you who will gather today (Jan.31) to celebrate Rich’s exciting life and legacy. We will be with you in spirit only as we, too, pause to reflect on ALL our own great memories of The-One-and-Only Richard Edgar Williams. Rich meant so very much to SO many and will be forever remembered.
With much love from D.J.&Trudy Cordero

Liz, Although we have not met; Susan and I were flying buddies from the formation flying days in and around New England. We are very sorry for your loss. We have all lost a dear friend and I personally will miss Rich very much. We had so much fun together and he was always supportive and fun to be around. I'm sorry we cannot be up there for the services and we are building a new home in Florida. All the best to you and the family. Rob and Susan

Ricky was a family friend and my first employer. I grew up on Simmons lane next to his shop. Son of Glenn and Linda Wicks. I would help the mechanics perform light mechanical work, pass tools, clean up and pump gas. He gave me my first engine (Chevy 350ci) at the age of 12 to tear down as an educational aid. He also helped me work on my first car. An Oldsmoble 442. Ricky's employee "Teddy" (a long time and loyal employee) also tutored me.
I can remember the model airplanes hanging from the ceiling in the shop's waiting room / office and a picture of an F4 Phantom along with his Beachcraft Bonanza. He also had a Chevy Chevette race car. Ricky built the intake manifold from scratch and it looked like a work of art. I was in awe of his craftsmanship.
Ricky, you now have a set of permantly attached wings, so rest in peace my friend and let your flight to heaven be turbulent free.

We didn't know Richard as well as we would have liked, but we admired his great joy in life, his questing and questioning spirit, his evident devotion to Liz, and his fine mind--as well as his ability to enter into any conversation of which we were ever lucky enough to be a part, too. He will be sorely missed and well remembered.

I now own that V-tail Bonanza and had the privilege of Rich teaching me how to fly it. I'll keep taking good care of it in Rich's memory. I'll miss the chance to enjoy another flight with him.
