Obituary of Joan M. Cullen
Joan M. (Collins) Cullen, age 80, of Billerica passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 15, 2020 after a battle with COVID-19 at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late David B. Cullen, Sr., and is survived by her four children; Joan-Marie Wentworth and her husband Rick of Billerica; Dave Cullen and his wife Cindy of Dracut; Maureen Moquin and her husband Mike of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Karen Cullen of Florida; survived by loving grandchildren; Corey Plouffe, Kayla & Patrick Wentworth, Brandon Moquin, Matthew & Brittany Cullen, Kyle Moquin, great grandchildren; Amelia, Evelyn, Olivia Plouffe & Isabella Wentworth-Ocasio; her sister Patricia Boland of Bedford and and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Kathleen Howe.
Joan was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Theresa's Church in Billerica and truly loved being part of the weekly liturgy. She also volunteered at the Senior Center. She was a diehard fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
A private prayer service will be offered by clergy from the Billerica Catholic Collaborative at Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. Friends and extended family are invited to watch the livestream via Facebook. The service stream will begin on Friday, May 22 at 11:00am.
