I’m so sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. I’m not sure if your family remembers me but I sure remember all of the Burlamachi’s. My dad was a great friend of John and Tom, he’s a local 25 teamster and worked with both John and Tom, my parents used to take us to all the awesome cookouts at Dottie and John’s house, and I also remember walking down to “Uncle Tom’s” house down the street, I always got so confused because there was so many “Dottie’s, Tom’s and John’s” but I mostly remember how nice “Gruff” was to everyone! My parents are Jack and Marie Murray from Wilmington.
Thinking of you always,
Lisa Murray Velozo

Back in the 80's when I was 13-14, I worked part time for Tom in his garage. He taught me a good deal about automobiles. More importantly he was an important early life roll model for me. Great guy. My thoughts go out to the family. Rest in Peace Tom.

You showed me how to bleed brakes at seven years old. Easily one of the handiest people I've ever known. You'll always be in my memories Gruff! Thanks for being the coolest grandfather a guy could ask for! We'll miss you big guy!

Linda, Billy and Family, We are so sorry to hear of your beloved father and grandfather's passing. Throughout the years as neighbors, we could always count on that beautiful smile and Tom's congeniality. For every life Tom has touched, you knew you were fortunate to know him. We certainly were. May he rest in peace with his beautiful wife, Dotty. We'll keep feeding the hummingbirds for you, Tom. Love and peace to all, Justin and Ellen Barton

Looking back I wonder..... Did you know how much I loved you? I hope I thanked you enough for all you did for us.
For all the times you were there for me, thank you. You celebrated all my joys and successes in life and were there supporting me for all the sad and hard times. We went through so many losses together and now I am left without you to continue my journey. I know you will be beside me, watching over me and I will go on with all the things you taught me. You taught me the value of hard work, loyalty, integrity and dedication to family. But most of all you taught me how to love and be loved. You loved your family more than life and I will be forever grateful to you for that. I will forever miss your smile and the times we shared and I will treasure your memory in my heart forever. Thank you for being my dad. I love you forever.

Uncle Tom was someone easy to love. He always made you feel like you were the most important person ever! He never said no if we had car problems, he always told us to come by & we would get to visit with him & Auntie Dot which we loved! I think I loved his laugh the most & the way he was with all the babies.....Gruff's babies were lucky babies!! I'll miss you forever but I'm happy you get to be with Auntie Dot again. Love you!!!

Tom was a wonderful kind man who we've had the honor of sharing a friendship for at least 30 years.
We'll miss him very much. We'll never forget his voice and laughter.
Things are swimming around in our heads right now and it's hard to find words of what it felt like having him as a friend.
God Bless you Tom& Dotti. Both sweet hearts. Rest in God's hands.
Love, Mj & Mike

Uncle Tom was the creator of many great memories for me and my family. Our family vacationed each year from Virginia spending time with family in the Billerica, Somerville and Seabrook. How I loved spending time in Billerica with our aunts, uncles and cousins. Uncle Tom was always so much fun. Looking back my best memories were when our family picnic was winding down - my Dad and all us kids did not want to leave - and did so reluctantly when Gram finally put her foot down! But Uncle Tom (And Uncle John) was in there arguing with Gram that he never gets to see his brother!!! We had so much fun and enjoyed each others company so much. Heaven gained an angel - and I am glad that Uncle Tom and Aunt Dot are together again.

Gruff,
You have been the best brother-in-law.
All the memories that you have given me and my kids
Over the years. The horseback riding, dancing every Saturday night at the Maples with you and Dot , John and I ,water skiing with your boat on the. Cape,
All the cookouts, pool parties we had over the years. What fun we had. You always have been so good to all the kids especially when they would bring their broken cars down to you to be fixed with barely any money to get it fixed.
I wish you didn’t have to leave us but I’m so glad you are not suffering any more.
Ps the pic below is one of my favorites taken at my Dots wedding. Lots of Love Dotty

Linda, Billy and family, so very sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved Gruff, Tommy. Linda, So many fond memories of time spent at 27 Topliff and the Burlamachi’s. I loved riding horses with you and your dad. His beautiful horse Renegade. I remember your dad lifting me onto Whitey, telling me he was more my speed. Loved the sleepovers and making Pillsbury cinnamon rolls in the morning. My mom and dad loved Dotty and Tommy. Your dad, like mine, was so devoted to your mom. Our moms sipping coffee and smoking cigarettes at your kitchen table. Find comfort, as will I in knowing that they are all reunited in heaven.
Rest in piece Tommy. You lived a good life and will be missed.
In friendship, Laureen

Gruff you taught me many things over the years. We laughed, we cried and disagreed at times. You took me under your wings at a bad time of my life you and Dot treated me like a son and I will be forever grateful. The best thing you did was give me your daughter Linda Marie, the mother of my four children. Thank you. Rest In Peace, it was an honor to take care of you at our house.
