I just recently received notice of Charlie’s passing and send my sincere condolences to family and friends.
I worked for Charlie at Textron back in the 1990’s and you couldn’t have a better boss. Charlie was a good friend and mentor. A down-to-earth, straight shooting, and kind man full of integrity and love of life and family.
A good and decent man who will be missed by all of us that had the good fortune to know him.

Oh Kathy, Charlie, Kristen & Carolyn, I am so sorry to hear about Charlie.... He was such a good protective Dad. I remember the first time I babysat for you ( yes I was young ,but capable) lol. Kathy basically had to draggggg him out of the house. He was so worried leaving his kids for a night out. Kathy assured him all was well....but the Papa bear was worried. Charlie was a kind, giving man. You all were blessed to have him for a husband and Dad. Please don’t hesitate to call or message me.

Auntie Kathy, Charlie, Kristin and Carolyn. I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Charlie. I am beyond words and very saddened. I am not going to say good-bye. We love you and we will cherish all of the memories we have had together. Until we see each other again – so long for now old friend.
What is Dying?
I am standing upon that foreshore, a ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength and I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says, "there! she's gone!"
"Gone where?" "Gone from my sight, that's all", she is just as large in mast and spar and hull as ever she was when she left my side; just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place of her destination.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her.
And just at that moment when someone at my side says, "there! she's gone!" there are other eyes watching her coming and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, "here she comes!"
And that is dying.

When your child marries you hope he gets great inlaws..Charlie ,Maurice found that in you. You were a golf buddy and true friend to him..Thanks for that..The Coughlans also found an extended family..There are no words for how sad we all are but will always remember our times together especially with our babies..

Charlie was a soft spoken man with a great heart and a big smile. His family was everything to Charlie, next to golf of course! He will be sadly missed by all of us.
