Frank Naimo – Obituary

 

 

Naimo, Francis J., of Billerica, formerly of Lynn, born April 24, 1931. Entered into eternal rest on March 5, 2021, at the age of 89.

 

Born in Lynn, to Samuel and Frances Naimo (Cordova), Frank was the beloved husband of Jean M. Naimo (Champigny) of Billerica, for over 66 years. Frank was the brother of the late John Naimo of Lynn.

 

Frank was the devoted father of Carol Spaulding and her late husband Richard, of Billerica, Michael Naimo of Billerica, Cathy Naimo of Salem, NH, Christine Violante and her husband Bruce of Eliot, ME, and Jean Kajko and her husband Peter of Chelmsford.

 

Frank was the adoring and doting grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

 

Frank was introduced to his dear wife Jean by his late best friend, Thomas Howard of Peabody.

 

Frank and his wife Jean, were joined by Tom and his late wife Irene, and Neil and Mary Therrien, of Exeter, NH, for countless adventures and wonderful times, over a lasting, deep friendship that spanned over 70 years.

 

He was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1949. Frank attended Salem State College. He was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War.

 

Frank enjoyed a successful career as a technical writer for the Raytheon Company for over 40 years. Frank’s wife and his family were always his first priority in life. He treasured every moment of his time with his family including many years of summer vacations camping on Cape Cod. Frank loved the holidays with his family and never missed attending any of his grandchildren’s school events, athletic games and performances.

 

Frank was a wise, humble, kind and honest man who bestowed his wit, love and wisdom to his family and all others who met him.

Funeral from the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica, Wednesday, March 10 at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa's Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours, Tuesday, 4:00 to 7:00 PM. In the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica.  All attendees are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing; we ask that visitors pay their respects and exit the funeral home promptly to allow other guests to enter.
