Sending deepest sympathies to Candy, Ken, Jeff, the grandkids and family. I only met Chris once, sadly at Candy's father's funeral, but was impressed with his stature and thoughtful demeanor. It wasn't a happy day, but Chris was open and offered easy conversation to people he really didn't know except through Candy's stories. But what he may not have realized is that his reputation preceded him among the staff of the Technical Services Department of Reading Library. We all have a tender spot for Chris, his quirky worries, travel adventures, insistence on safety, and sense of humor. With love and hugs and condolences, Allison

Thursday, I saw a new email from Ralto. That brought a smile to my face. It is time that Chris and I have dinner together again. Just as we have for 3 or 4 times a year for the past 30 years, only interrupted by Covid. My smile turned to tears as I read the email. Last April would be the last time Chris and I would share a meal.
Our conversations covered many topics, mainly work. However, one topic in each of these meetings was our families. Chris, with much delight, always updated me about Kenny and Jeffey.
I will miss Chris, he was a great confidant.

Chris was not only my cousin but also my dear, dear friend. As children we both lost a parent during the same year and for several years thereafter, he visited at my house for extended periods over several years. Chris and I would spend many days together during school summer breaks and vacations throughout the year. I like to think we saved each other from the tragedy of each losing a parent at a very young age. He was my number one friend. I recall many a day playing board games with Chris and watching our favorite TV shows on a 12 inch black and white television we had control over in the downstairs playroom. We shared a common interest for 1960’s television with a focus on Star Trek, Mission Impossible, Mannix, Get Smart and many other shows. We were enthralled with Star Trek and the American space launches of the 1960’s. I vividly remember we liked pizza and ice cream sandwiches almost to the exclusion of other foods. Years later we worked at the same Braintree supermarket. As the years passed we stayed in contact even though we no longer lived in proximity to each other. We continued our childhood habit of long phone calls wherein we discussed politics, TV shows, family and life in general. We often exchanged Christmas gifts even as adults and continued to speak many times throughout the year. In fact, my last phone conversation with Chris was just several days before his passing. I will greatly miss Chris. He will always live in my memory. I am very saddened by his passing. He was my best friend.

Chris or Chrisie to me was a true gentleman. He was kind hearted, sincere and loving. When I talked with Chrisie, I knew he was really listening. He wrote long and heartfelt Christmas cards like no other man. His family was his life. He was so proud of his sons, rightfully so. Chrisie will be sorely missed by his family and friends. RIP cousin. Gayl & John
