Dear Aunt Nancy. You were the baby of the Lund family. We used to laugh about that and shared stories of being the babies in our respective Lund families. Dad so much enjoyed visiting you and Janice, having tea together and catching up on family news. You kept Dad and your other siblings in the know. I would call to check in on you from down here and get the news from home. We always had a laugh.
Every card you sent you, no matter the occasion, you signed, "Love ya," Aunt Nancy.
The last time I visited you and Janice at home was memorable for the time we spent drinking tea, eating coffee cake and catching up. Oh, and the antics of your beloved dog Barney. Barney didn't love me the way you did and he showed it!
When I visited you in Wilmington a few months ago, I held your hand and talked with you about the old times. You remembered your brother George (my father), the boat Grampy named after you, the Nancy Carol, our times at Brant Rock and of course the unforgettable Barney. Your hands were soft, your skin flawless. Just like Gramma's.
Dearest Nancy, you will always be close in memory and in my heart.
Love ya,
Susan
