Obituary of Gail Judith Landino

Gail (Gay Gay) Judith Landino, age 80, of Billerica, February 4, 2022, passed away after battling cancer. She was the beloved wife of Richard C. Landino of Belmont to whom she was married 59 years this May. Gail was born in Waltham, July 28, 1941, the daughter of the late Ernest and Florence Thompson. Devoted mother of Richard C. Landino, Jr. and his companion, Missy Falconer of Westford, Kenneth M. Landino and his wife, Kari Landino of Dracut, and Steven D. Landino of Billerica. Loving grandmother of Gabrielle Landino and her fiancé Joel Velez of Leominster and Leah Landino of Nashua, NH, Richard C. Landino, III of Billerica, Dillon Landino of Tyngsboro, Joey Mahoney of Billerica and Domenic Landino of Lowell and her great grandchildren, Sofia and Liliana Velez, Brady Landino, Cyrus Nohelty and Elena Houghtaling. Sister of Beverly Peirce of Billerica, Sherry Raboin and her husband, Joe of Billerica, Jackie Izzi and her husband, Eddie of Williston, VT, William Thompson and his wife, Cathy of Sudbury. Sister-in-law of Cheryl Thompson of Framingham and Kathy Huber of Townsend, Ed Lavelle of Westford, Leonard Landino and his wife, Marie of Woburn. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children as well as special friend till the end Michelle Courchaine Spaulding. Gail held various positions including lunch aid at the Dutile School in Billerica, Izzi Sub Shop, Market Basket Deli, Mall Liquors and, for the past 25 years, secretary for Old Timers Slate Roofing Company. The job she held most dear was taking care of her family. Gail always had compassion with arms wide open for anyone in need. She was “The neighborhood mom” to David Wiseman and many others. Gail was predeceased by her siblings; Patricia Lavelle, Butchie Thompson, Frank Thompson, and Steven Thompson; her sister-in-law, Peggy Beauliau and her brothers-in-law, Horace and Phillip Landino.
