Obituary of Joann M. Kukis

Joann M. (Belzarini) Kukis, of Billerica, age 72, died February 15, 2022.  She was the devoted mother of Jill Kwitkiwski and her husband, Victor, of New Hampshire, and Eric Kukis and his wife, Wendy, of Florida. She also leaves her brother, Robert Belzarini and his wife, Julia; her four grandchildren; Emma, Jade, Jillian and John. Her three nieces, Gina, Michelle, and Jennifer, and her nephew, Robert Belzarini, Jr. In addition, she also leaves her many friends and extended family. Joann was predeceased by her twin sister, Jean Marie Macaluso. Relatives and friends invited. The beach was her happy place. When she was younger, she regularly vacationed at the beach, often with her oldest granddaughter, Emma, with whom she was very close. Joann was a long-time employee of Century Bank in Burlington, retiring as the senior head teller. She adored animals, dogs in particular. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the local Humane Society. Visiting hours will be held in the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica on Wednesday, February 23, from 10:00 to 12:00 PM, followed by a prayer service. Relatives and friends invited.
