Obituary of Nancy L. Dunn

Nancy L. Dunn of Billerica age 85, passed peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on February 19, 2022.

She was the beloved wife of Robert J. Dunn to whom she was married for 65 years. Devoted mother of Robert Dunn Jr. and wife Paula of Lancaster, NH, David Dunn and wife Linda of Tewksbury, Ann Reed of Billerica, Amy Varrell and husband Matthew of Harvard.

Loving Nana to Nicholas Varrell, Caitlin Dunn, Rusty Varrell, Haylee and Jenna Reed. She was the proud great grandmother to Colton.

Nancy was also the loving sister to Everett and the late George as well as sister-in-law to Pattie, Linda, Sissy, Cheryl and the late Beverly, Michael and George.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Nancy was born in Dexter, ME, and enjoyed spending her summers “upta camp” on Lake Wassookeag with family. Nancy was a proud member of the Billerica Boys and Girls Club where she made many dear friends in her swimming class. Some of her other hobbies included crocheting, reading, tending to the garden with her husband and spending time with her two adopted alpacas, Sir Erik and Princess Ava at Harvard Alpaca Ranch.  

She will be deeply missed by all that had the honor of knowing her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 22 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm at Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd. Billerica, MA. Funeral will be Wednesday, February 23 from Burns Funeral Home at 9:00am followed by a funeral mass at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd. Billerica, MA at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are invited.
