Obituary of Joseph C. Bannister

Joseph C. Bannister, age 63, of Richmond, NH formerly of Billerica died Saturday, July 29 2023, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He was born in Woburn, the son of the late Ralph and Margaret (Berry) Bannister. Joe worked for years as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for the Town of Billerica. He enjoyed riding his Harley, Classic Cars, Nascar and Motorcycle Racing. He loved being around his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie L. (Gullage) Bannister. His two sons, Gregg Bannister of Stoneham and Scott Bannister of Marietta, Georgia. His sister Maureen Johnson of Billerica and his brother, Ralph Bannister and his wife, Judy of Lowell. He was the brother of the late Stephen Bannister and the brother-in-law to the late Charlie Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Visiting hours will be held in the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica, Tuesday, August 8, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, with a prayer service.
