Obituary of Jean F. Ford

Jean F. (Schilling) Ford, age 78, of Billerica, formerly of East Cambridge, died, with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Lahey Hospital in Burlington. She was the beloved wife of Daniel T. “Dapper” Ford of Billerica, to whom she was married 58 years. She was born in Dorchester, January 17, 1945, the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (O’Keefe) Schilling. Jean retired from Cambridge Hospital in Cambridge, after 15 years as a medical assistant. Jean loved being with her family and friends; she was passionate about cooking for her friends and sharing good "pour" of wine. Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Mark Johansen of Billerica and her loving grandchildren, Daniel Ford Johansen and Jack Ryan Johansen. She was also the sister of the late Roberta Schilling. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 24th at the Billerica Elk’s, 14 Webb Brook Rd., Billerica from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, with a prayer service beginning at 1:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited. Please come ready to share your funny stories and good times. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jeanie’s name to the Charity of One’s Choice.
