Obituary of Dorothy A. Cormier
Dorothy A. (Grimmich) Cormier, age 85, died, peacefully, Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. She was the beloved wife of Clarence V. Cormier, with whom she celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in January. She was born in Long Island, NY, June 3, 1923, the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Ballinger) Grimmich. She had been a resident of Billerica since 1952. She was an active member of the Community Congregational Church of Pinehurst where she served as Treasurer of the church for over 20 years. She was a Brownie leader in Pinehurst as well as a school aide at the old Ditson School. She and her daughter Karen owned the 7-Eleven in Pinehurst for 17 years. Besides her husband she is survived by her two loving daughters and their husbands, Karen L. Rafferty and Anthony of Billerica and Susan M. Cormier and Robert Walen of Amherst, NH. She was also a wonderful grandmother to three grandsons, Alex and Jeremy Rafferty and Forrest Walen. She also leaves her sister, Frieda Larson of Bridgewater and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late May Buck.
