Dear Greco family: I met Jimmie in the fall of 1980 when I moved into the Great Hill dorm at Bridgewater State. Jimmie and Robie were two doors down from me, one year ahead of me. I used to watch Jimmie drawing at his desk, and I was amazed at his talent. The year before I got there, Jimmie and Robie dressed up as Batman and Robin and drove around Bridgewater in the Batmobile, signing autographs for kids. I never forgot that story. I have not seen Jimmie since 1981, but he has stayed with me all this time. I am so proud of him for what he has accomplished in his life! Yes, it's true, Jimmie never met a stranger. I know this firsthand. He treated me and everyone I saw around him as a friend, and he was genuine and sincere. Yes, he was sincere about life. He was sincerely happy and positive and outgoing, and he is such a fine example of how we all should live our lives. He was an example to me, and I thank him for that. I learned of his injury this past year, and I was heartbroken to the point of tears. I only spent a year with him, but he had that effect on me. Jimmie charged at life, and he did it with strength and courage and pride and positivity, and I am sure that is the same way he dealt with his injury. To me, and anyone who was lucky enough to have met him, Jim truly was a Superhero! We go many different ways in life. There is happiness and sadness. But when I think of Jim Greco, I see that smile, and my happiness overcomes my sadness.

I was incredibly saddened to hear of Jim's passing. Some of my most fond memories of living in Groton (next door) having my girls share time with your girls, were truly wonderful times. Jim was/is one of the most gracious and generous individuals I have every meet. His smile and laughter would brighten any gathering or space.
I have never been able to look at anyone's Halloween decorations quite the same. He was good to his core and was happy to extend anything he had if I was in need.
Our shared fathering of girls allowed me to exchange moments only fathers with girls could. He made me a better person when I was around him and I know that a kind and carefree bit of him lives in every one of the Greco women.
Sincere condolences,
Kevin

Jane D'Entremont Posted Jun 29, 2024 at 7:13 AM
P.S.: In addition, Jimmie was predeceased by his Aunt Marcia A. (D'Entremont) Perron of Byfield. He also leaves his Aunt Jane E. (D'Entremont) Melcher of Tewksbury.
Jimmie, along with his little sister Caroline, was raised largely in the D'Entremont household, along with his three Aunts, and included more as a little brother than a nephew. (The omission of Jimmie's two loving Aunts, who doted on him as a child, was an innocent oversight, and certainly not deliberate.)
