Cathleen Ellen Babin (Buckley)

Wife, mother, Nana, Great-Nana, Aunt and Friend. Cathleen Ellen Babin of Billerica, MA died peacefully at home on June 5, 2024 surrounded by her loving family after a hard fought battle with cancer. Born in Somerville, MA to the late Jeremiah and Marie (White) Buckley. Cathleen grew up in Somerville and graduated from St. Clements High School, Medford, MA. “Bucky” was always seen in Steven’s having banana bread with cream cheese after school. Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Babin and survived by her son, Douglas Babin and wife, Jen of Holly, MI, daughter, Danielle Clark of Billerica and son, Derek Babin of Lowell, MA, her Grandsons, Alexander Clark and Kells Babin, Great-grandchildren, Aubrey Sofia Clark and Ethan Hitchock, many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Cathy was a beloved former employee at DeMoulas Market Basket as an office manager for multiple years where she met many dear friends, that are still in her life to this day. Cathy was an amazing hostess that loved to entertain her friends and threw fabulous parties. She was a self-appointed Queen and we all knew it. Cathy was always working on a project; she never met a wall she could not take down. Cathy was well traveled and went to multiple destinations across the globe with friends and family. NYC always held a special place in her heart. The impact that Cathy had on her family will be felt for generations. Thank you, Mum for everything. Memorial service will be held, June 12, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica. Graveside service to follow at 12:00 Noon, Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm St., Everett, MA, please meet at front gate.
