Obituary of Bobby Woods

Robert A. Woods (Bobby) of Westwood, born on March 4th, 1948, passed on 06/18/2024 after a brief nasty battle with cancer. Bobby was born to Ann Margarett Flanagan and Robert Woods of Cambridge. Bobby grew up in Newtowne Court Cambridge MA. Bobby was the younger brother of the late Walter Woods of Waltham. He leaves behind 4 children, Kimberly Woods, twins Tara and Tracey Woods all of Everett, a son Michael Malvesti and loving wife Sabay of Lowell, along with his grandchildren Caleb and Blake Malvesti.

Bobby also leaves behind a loving wife of ten years Paula DiFiore-Woods and shares an extended family of Ashley and Michael Siraco of Revere, Nick and Christine DiFiore of Boston and their children Anthony and Dominic.

Bobby worked for the city of Everett parks department and then moved on to work at Woodlawn Cemetery. His hobbies included shooting pool betting on his favorite horses including that number 4 and LOVED his Boston sports teams. He was the sharpest pool shooter around town. Bobby was the most kind, humble and gentle soul, who never had anything negative to say about anyone. Bobby was also fond and proud of his uncle Frannie Boyle and his extended family of Everett. Visiting hours will be held, Sunday, June 23, in the John C. Burns & Sons Funeral Home, 305 Broadway, Cambridge, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Relatives and friends invited. Funeral will be held Monday, June 24, in St. John's Church, 2254 Mass Ave., Cambridge at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute of Boston.
