Jean M. Naimo (Champigny) – Obituary
Naimo, Jean, M. (Champigny), of Billerica, formerly of Lynn, born January 29, 1932. Entered into eternal rest on August 9, 2024, at the age of 92.
Born in Lynn, to Arthur and Caroline (Lena) Champigny, Jean was the beloved wife of the late Frank J. Naimo of Billerica, for over 66 years.
Jean was the sister of the late Richard Champigny and the late Carol Champigny and the late Stephen Champigny.
She was a proud graduate of Saint Mary’s School in Lynn and the Burdett School.
Jean enjoyed a successful career at the General Electric Company in Lynn before devoting her life to raising her children.
She was the devoted and loving mother of Carol Spaulding and her late husband Richard, of Billerica, Michael Naimo of Billerica, Cathy Naimo of Salem, NH, Christine Violante and her husband Bruce of Eliot, ME, and Jean Kajko and her husband Peter of Chelmsford, MA.
Jean was the adoring and doting grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was introduced to her dear husband Frank by his late best friend, Thomas Howard of Peabody.
Jean and her husband Frank, were joined by Tom and his late wife Irene, and Neil and Mary Therrien, of Exeter, NH, for countless adventures and wonderful times, over a lasting, deep and rare friendship that spanned over 70 years.
Her husband and her family were always her first priorities in life. She treasured every moment of her time with her family including many years of summer vacations camping on Cape Cod.
Jean loved the holidays with her family and never missed supporting her grandchildren at their school events, athletic games and performances.
For many years Jean was an active and proud member of the “Billerica Spools” where she enjoyed quilting with her friends. She was very proud to have her quilting work displayed at the Billerica Public Library and she had a great sense of pride in making custom quilts for each of her grandchildren.
She was an amazing cook and there was always room for one more at her table. Not a single person was ever turned away at her door. Jean was a kind, compassionate and forgiving person. She was full of true wisdom which she was always willing to pass on to others.
Funeral from the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica, Wednesday, August 14 at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa's Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours, Tuesday, 4:00 to 7:00 PM. In the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica.
