Obituary of Paul A. Coluccio
Paul Coluccio departed from his loved ones and this earth on October 31, 2024 at the age of 84. He was the beloved and devoted husband of 60 years to Rosalie Coluccio.
Paul was born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 21, 1939, son to Susan Coluccio and Joseph Coluccio. Raised and educated in Belmont, he graduated from Belmont High School in 1958. He met the love of his life, Rosalie “Rollie” at age 16, and they married on June 4, 1961. They remained in Belmont until 1968, when they moved to Billerica and raised their three daughters. Paul graduated from Wentworth Institute and Northeastern University with Bachelor of Science in Engineering. He retired from GTE Sylvania as a manager.
Beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend, he was a friend to all who passed through his life. Paul led a life full of love, light, and laughter. He was fun and the life of the party. Everywhere he went, his infectious smile and charm followed.
Survived by his daughter, Lynne Coluccio and her husband, Raymond Wormwood of Gray, Maine; daughter Wendy Burek and her husband, Anthony of Billerica; daughter Sheryl Spera and her husband Gregg of Billerica. He is survived by his grandchildren, Amanda Marshall, Rebecca Wormwood, Ember Spera, Justin Burek, Jason Wormwood, and Brooke Burek; his brothers Robert and Vincent Coluccio; and many nieces and nephews. He will be reunited in heaven with the love of his life, Rollie, his granddaughter, Marissa Spera, his mother and father, and many friends and family members.
Paul had a taste for the finer things in life. He traveled parts of the world with his true love, Rollie. Paul and Rollie shared wonderful experiences in their lives together and were the life of the party. Paul and Rollie loved music and dancing so much, they took disco lessons, practicing their dance moves in the living room every week in the 80’s.
Paul was an avid golfer and even got a hole in one! One of his many favorite hobbies included making stained glass for those he loved. He loved giving them out to see the faces of his family and friends light up.
More than anything he loved being with his family. Nothing meant more to him than spending time with loved ones. You would hear him say “La famiglia e’ tutto” emphasizing that family is everything.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Paul on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd. (Rt. 3A), Billerica from 1:00-4:00 pm.
Funeral will be held on Monday November 4, 2024 at St. Matthew The Evangelist Parish, in St. Theresa's Church, 466 Boston Road, Billerica at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Tewksbury.
