Obituary of Susan R. Pottie

Susan R. (Daye) Pottie, age 70, died, January 12, 2025, at her home in Billerica, with her loving family at her side. She was born in Woburn, March 3, 1954, the daughter of the late Maurice and Madeline (Currier) Daye. Former wife of the late Arthur J. Pottie of South Boston. She graduated from Billerica Memorial High School, class of 1972.

Susan Pottie was employed as an Executive Secretary for the Department of the Air Force at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford for 27 years, prior to her retirement in 2015.

Besides her son and daughter in-law, Michael and Laura Pottie. She is survived by her granddaughter, Bryanna Pottie and her great grandson Jayson Ingram of Billerica. Sisters, Lucille and her husband, Bill Durost of Tewksbury and, Marilyn and Bill Peabody of Billerica, Linda Bucuzzo of Haverhill. Her brother Eddie Daye of Maine and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held in the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica, Sunday, January 19, from 11:00 to 2:00 PM. Relatives and friends invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Susan’s name to the Mass General Hospital Cancer Center, MGH Cancer Center

Celebration of Life will be held at the Billerica Country Club, 51 Baldwin Road, Billerica following the wake service on Sunday, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited.
