Obituary of Jacob C. Brogan

Jacob Christian Brogan, 28 years old, of Beverly MA, unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord due to medical conditions on January 17th, 2025.

Jacob was born in Winchester, MA on December 27, 1996. He was a brave warrior who lived with Prader-Willi Syndrome. Jacob was an inspiration to all of us with how he faced the challenges this syndrome presents. He loved attending his day program at the Shore Education Collaborative.  His family is forever grateful to the Northeast ARC for providing a loving staff and a wonderful home for Jacob in Beverly, MA. He truly loved his home, his housemates, and the staff who were family to him.

Jacob loved showing off his extensive t-shirt collection, going to see Monster Trucks, Nascar, Jet Cars, and Bike Week in Laconia. Other favorites were Canobie Lake Park (especially during Screamfest), fireworks, and riding the North Conway Railroad. Parades, firepits, carving pumpkins, bagpipes, and Irish step dancers made him smile. And please, when you pick him up be sure to have a Dunkin’ Donuts Coolata waiting for him.

Jacob is survived by his father, Steven Brogan of Fort Myers, FL, his mother, Renee Nohelty and her husband (his step-dad),  Rick Nohelty of Hampstead, NH. His grandmother, Jeannette Torci of Cambridge and Lynnfield, MA. His sister, Leah Brogan Boudreaux of Plymouth, NH, his brother, Luke Brogan and his wife Kelsey of Billerica, MA, his sister, Grace Harron and her husband Christopher of Methuen, MA and his beloved nephew Henry Brogan Smith of Plymouth, NH. He is also survived by so many aunts, uncles and cousins whom he loved and who loved him so very much.

We are thankful to God who gave us 28 years with Jacob. He touched so many lives and taught us many things. We are forever changed for the better for having known him.
