Obituary of Richard W. Mazzone

Richard W. Mazzone, 93 of Beverly, MA passed away on January 18th with family by his side. A private cemetery service in Winchendon MA with be held followed by a memorial mass for family and friends on Wednesday January 29th at Ste Anne’s Parish - 290 Jefferson Ave, Salem MA at 11:00. 

Richard was born in Boston MA to Assunta and Pasquale Mazzone on June 6th, 1931. A beloved U.S Marine and decorated veteran of the Korean War. He was awarded 2 Korean service medals, a National service medal and a United Nations service medal. He owned and worked at the famous Joe’s Pizza in Beverly for 50+ years. He enjoyed cooking, swimming, puzzles, making his family laugh and spending time at the lake with his children and grandchildren. 

Richard is survived by his wife Sandra (Mustone) Mazzone of Beverly. His children, Richelle M. Mazzone of Peabody, Richard P. Mazzone of Beverly, Marlene S. Berganti and husband Richard of Haverhill and Dean A. Mazzone and wife Kathleen of Winthrop. Grandchildren; Alicia, Christopher, Tylor, Angelina, Francesca and James and 3 great grandchildren; Charlotte, Gianna and Sophia. He will be truly missed by all.
