I want to know why you had to die,
Without a good reason why.
Your friends and Family misses you each and every day,
For now you have been gone a week today.
You were a brother, uncle, cousin, friend and a son,
I do not understand why your life is all done.
Your life was not a gift,
If your soul was meant to drift.
In loving memory of Nicholas MacKay,
Who died just last Sunday.
I hope someday the violence will cease,
So you may rest in peace...
