I was so sad to hear about the passing of Mrs. Mahoney. It was a honor for me to say that I was a student of hers, she gave a lot of kids the confidence they needed and I will be forever grateful to her for that. My thoughts and prayers are with your family through this difficult time. God bless.

Pat has truly been missed by all who loved her, teachers and students alike. I have spent the evening talking to at least 20 of Pat's former students. I wish you could have heard what they said. She helped me with my life, she helped me through high school, she was always there for me. The comments keep going on and on. She was a remarkably kind woman who never let go of her "Cambridge " girl attitudes and values. She was an inspiration to hundreds of kids who join me in mourning your loss. May she rest in peace knowing that she was a woman who made a mark on many lives and will not be forgotten.

Great sadness fills my heart with the news of Mrs. Mahoney's passing. I was one of her first girl students at the Hillside. She was a very special teacher, a rare one, one that really cared about her kids and took the time to help you , if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have graduated either. She taught me many things, and I know I am a better person for having known her and a stronger one too. A million thank you's would never be enough. May you have the peace you deserve and until we meet again, I will always carry a piece of me in my heart. Thank you I love you.

Pat Mahoney was the best of the best - one of this world's quiet saints. I shall never forget the kindness Mrs Mahoney showed me as a substitute teacher and that gorgeous serene smile at the end of the corridor each morning. There can be no better testimony than the words I have just read from her former pupils. God Bless.

The world is a sadder place today without Pat Mahoney! Pat was & forever will be an inspiration to me. She taught me so much about dealing & educating children with LD, & standing up for what is right. Her classroom has always been a safe haven for students who needed a place to go & hear some kind words of encouragment, or just somewhere to feel safe. Pat blessed many students & adults with her love & kindness. I had the pleasure of working with "M" in the ALP program, & having her as a friend. Life ends, but love lives on forever. My condolences to Paul, Ryan, Pat's family, friends, & all of her past students that had the honor of having her as a teacher!!! I will always remember her & carry with me her life's lessons...

Dear Paul,
You've always been my hero, but I didn't know exactly how much you were capable of. You have so earned that title recently because of the unconditional love you showed for that spectacular woman you married. Patricia Mahoney was one of a kind and I feel honored to have known and loved and been loved by her. She had a way of making everyone that met her feel so special. I will miss her very much.
All my love, Rosie

I have tears in my eyes right now. I can not believe that MRs Mahoney is gone. She was My teacher at the Hillside. What isn’t there to say about Mrs Mahoney. She touched everyone’s lives. I spent 4 years with her at the hillside when I came to the hillside I didnt want to be in school I was a very shy kid with anger issues as well. Mrs Mahoney was there every step of the way for 4 years and I graduated because of her. She would spend what ever time she needed each day to help me. She would even call and talk to my mom and work things out over the phone from home at night. She had the biggest heart of anyone I know. She will forever be in my heart. Love you Mrs Mahoney. My prayers go out to Her husband Paul and son Ryan and family.. I was going to plan a trip to see her with a few others from the hillside. We were just talking about it I went on line and found this out. I am so deeply sad.
