Obituary of Barbara Elaine Morgan
Barbara Elaine (Couto) Morgan died Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at Lowell General Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur J. Morgan. Born in Cambridge, March 24, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Salines) Couto. She enjoyed shopping, gambling, dining out, laughing, and having fun with her family. Barbara worked for many years helping the elderly at Nursing Services and Homecare. Barbara was an advocate for the protection of animals and children and supported many causes that benefited them. A proud parent, she instilled upon her children that FAMILY always comes first. She was a phenomenal mother, sister, friend, aunt, and grandmother; she will be very much missed by all the lives she has touched over the years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Robert Murphy, of Nashua, NH, her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmie and his former wife Donna of Billerica and Timmy and his wife Ann Marie of Merrimack, NH. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Matthew, Brianna, Taylor, and Julia Morgan, all of Billerica, Chantonia Morgan, of Nashua, NH, and Lauren and Sarah Morgan of Merrimack, NH, her sisters, Elaine Maher and her husband James of Woburn and Gail Hunt and her husband Edward of Medford, and her brother, Leonard Couto and his wife Patty of Everett. She had a partner in crime, her son-in-law, Bob Murphy, and had many fun times with her cousin, Frank Sousa. She was also the sister of the late Jimmie Couto, Lee (Couto) D'Alessandro, and Joseph Couto.
