Ilene L. (Hatch) Bevis, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, of Billerica passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2011 after an extended illness. She was the wife of 39 years of Lawrence "Larry" Bevis, Jr. Born in Somerville on October 8, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Joan (Earle) Hatch. A longtime Billerica resident, she graduated from Billerica Memorial High School, Class of 1972. Before her illness, Ilene worked for Christianson Bus Co. and Comcast. Ilene loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time outdoors. Ilene was the first woman president of the South Fitchburg Hunting & Fishing Club. She also loved bingo and game shows. Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Melissa Allan, Jessica Morrow and her husband Drew, and Larry Bevis and his wife Michelle, all of Billerica. Ilene was the loving grandmother of Dylan, Matti, Larry, Devin, and Macie, all of Billerica. She leaves her sisters, Carol Gardner of FL, Barbara Dodge and Grace Bornstein and her husband Jay, of Billerica, and Tricia Marchant and her husband Ralph, of WA; her brother, Robert Hatch of Tyngsboro; her two sisters-in-law, Joanne Bevis and her fiancé Lenny, and Jennifer Lawrence and her fiancé Wally, all of Billerica; and her brother-in-law, Jack Bevis and his wife Cori of Billerica. Ilene also leaves many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and her best friend Kay Kennison of Billerica. She was also the daughter-in-law of the late Lawrence and Katherine Bevis.
