Like everyone, I am shocked & saddened by the sudden loss of my cousin June. However, I must say that I am blessed in that she twice visited me Rio de Janeiro (once for my Wedding in 2008, and again last year with my sister Marilyn. My then 2 year old son William immensily enjoyed all of the attention Marilyn & June showered on him during that visit. Always thoughtful of others, just last week June sent a present for our newborn son Rafael, and asked me to email her some new pictures of him. Two days later I heard the aweful news about June. Rafael will wear the Red Sox uniform June sent until he outgrows it, and then we'll save it in memory of her. June was a very special person...one that we will all deeply miss. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
