Frank T. McKie, age 82, died Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was the beloved husband of Betty R. (Kelley) McKie, to whom he was married for 59 years. Born in Medford, January 26, 1927, he was the son of the late Roy and Marion (Oldfield) McKie. He was graduated from Medford High School prior to serving his country with the United States Navy during WWII. After the war Frank continued his education at Northeastern University, graduating in 1952 with a degree in Business Administration. Before his retirement in 1989, he worked as an accountant with the old New England Telephone Company for 38 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 221 in Bedford, where he lived for 38 years prior to moving to Billerica. Besides his wife he is survived by his 11 children, Frank, Jr., of Lowell, Theresa of Billerica, Dianne Burkholder and her husband Larry of PA, Alfred and his wife Karen of Groton, Betty Lund and her husband Paul of Billerica, John and his wife, Joanne of Billerica, Edward and his wife Cherfelmarie of Billerica, Loretta McKie and her husband Warren Corriveau of Ashburnham, Paul and his wife Rebekah of Billerica, Susan Williams and her husband Bob of Bedford, and Jane Caruso and her husband Jim of Billerica, his two brothers, Lincoln of Medford and Roy of NJ, his 10 loving grandchildren, and his nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Robert McKie.
