Porter, of Medford, born and raised for many years, recently of Melrose and finally Billerica, Jean M. Porter, age 72, May 7, 2012. Beloved daughter of the late Frank and Mary (McDonald) Porter. Loving sister of Frank K. Porter, Jr. of Billerica. Also survived by many nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces, great grand nephews, and great grandnieces. Jean, a 1957 graduate of Medford High School, enjoyed reading and writing. She had many of her poems published and received awards for her writings. Jean liked to collect stamps. She liked her movies as well. She enjoyed watching and rooting for sports teams of Boston. Jean donated her time to many charities and had pen pals in Great Britain and New Zealand. She worked for Raytheon, retiring after many years of employment. Funeral from the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd. (Rt. 3A), Billerica, Friday, May 11, at 8:00 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Theresa's Church, Billerica, at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends invited.
