Obituary of Nancy A. Silva
Nancy A. (Mallard) Silva, age 77, of Billerica, died Monday, October 1, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late George Norman Silva, to whom she was married 58 years. She was born in Lowell, February 7, 1935, the daughter of the late Leonard and Alice (Crosby) Mallard. She was a graduate of Howe High School in Billerica. Prior to her retirement in 1989, Mrs. Silva worked for many years as a secretary for the Boston Maine Transportation Company, Raytheon, an attorney, and DuPont. She was a member of the North Billerica Baptist Church and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonel John Robinson Chapter. She enjoyed camping, reading, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons and daughters- in-law, Norman G. Silva and his wife Jean of Westford and Stephen L. Silva and his wife Joanne of Billerica; her grandchildren, Jennifer L. Santy and her husband Matthew of Billerica, Stephen L. Silva, Jr. and his wife Karissa of Pepperell, Robert S. Silva and his wife Shannon of Milford, NH, and Elizabeth Silva of Westford; her three great granddaughters, Addyson "Happy Feet" Santy, Aubrey Santy, and Paisley Silva; and her sister-in-law, Vernet Mallard of Riverview, FL. She was also the sister of the late Leonard C. Mallard and James E. Mallard.
