Obituary of Gerald Cottreau
Gerald "Jerry" Cottreau, Sr., age 70, died Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was the beloved husband of Louise C. (Qualtieri) Cottreau, to whom he was married 46 years. Born in Boston, July 7, 1942, he was the son of the late Marc and Genevieve (D'Entremont) Cottreau. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He later worked for Polaroid Company as a truck driver for 35 years. He was also a bus driver and equipment truck driver for the Billerica Friends of Music. He enjoyed NASCAR, football, and traveling, especially taking cruises. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Sheri Cottreau and his son, Gerald "Jay" Cottreau, Jr., both of Billerica, his sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Ronald LeBlanc of Jamaica Plain, his nephew, Kevin LeBlanc of Jamaica Plain his niece, Dawn Jack of Florida, and many friends and extended family.
