Obituary of Glenn C. Ansill
Glenn C. Ansill, 51, died, surrounded by his loving family, early Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Boston Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born in Sarasota, Florida on August 17, 1961, the son of Elizabeth (Cameron) (Murdock) Bastian and the late Dr. Delford Ansill. He grew up in Billerica and Bedford, MA. Graduating from Bedford High School in 1979, Glenn attended U-Mass Amherst briefly and began his career as a computer analyst with local businesses, including DRI McGraw Hill in Lexington and most recently with Unisys in Lawrence.
He purchased the family homestead in Billerica and lived with his wife Teri and their sons for the last 15 years. Glenn was known for his quiet personality and his generosity of spirit. He was drawn to nature and animals, particularly cats. He recently rescued two cats that needed extra attention and was meticulous and tender with their care. He delighted in teaching his cats some tricks with cat treats. Glenn's kindness extended beyond his love of animals. He was a neighbor, friend, or brother you could call on a moment's notice to help you; he would drop everything to be there. Above all, Glenn loved his family, his friends, and his home.
Glenn leaves his loving wife and soul mate, Teri Robertson, and their sons, Andrew and Mathew Robertson, who are both Marines. Glenn was so proud of his sons. In addition, he also leaves his mother, Elizabeth Bastian of Billerica and Orlando, FL, his sisters, Faith Ansill Morgida and her partner Bob Andrew of Methuen, and Valerie Ansill King and her husband, Michael of Chelmsford, and his brother, Brian Ansill and his wife Carol of Wayland. He is also survived by his step-siblings, Jack Bastian of Lowell, Tommy and Tia Bastian, and Barbara and Hugh Gonglewski of Florida. He will be missed by nieces and nephews, Cara King, Jackie Wooster, Jimmy King, Michelle, and Thomas Ansill, and grandnephew Reese Wooster. In addition, he was well loved by Teri's parents, Gene and the late Mary Friedrich.
