Obituary of Luis A. Collazo Ocasio
Collazo Ocasio, of Cambridge, April 4, 2013, Luis A. “Cuco” Collazo Ocasio, who would have been 70 on Saturday, died, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family after a courageously long and arduous fight with cancer. He was the eldest son of the late Jesus Collazo and Carmen Ocasio of Orocovis, PR. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 42 years, Emilia Collazo (Rodriguez) and his son, Luis Collazo and his wife, Sherry, of West Roxbury. He was also the beloved brother of Hector Collazo and his wife, Margarita, of Cambridge, Abigaina Aponte and her husband, Jaime, of Catano, PR, Ana Rodriguez and her husband, Genaro, of Orocovis, PR, Eranio Collazo and his wife, Ivette, of Ciales, PR, Felix Collazo and his wife, Celia, of Cambridge, Luis Angel Collazo and his wife, Andrea, of Dunkirk, NY, and the late Elba Collazo and Migdalia Collazo, both of Orocovis, PR. In addition he was the beloved and cherished grandfather of Kylie and Leah. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Luis will be greatly missed by all and lovingly remembered by his family. Visiting hours will be held Saturday, April 6, in the John C. Burns & Sons Funeral Home, 305 Broadway, Cambridge, from 2:00- 6:00 p.m. Relatives and friends invited. Services and burial will be in Puerto Rico.
