Obituary of Edmund A. Mallett
Edmund A. Mallett, age 72, died Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Lahey Medical Center in Burlington. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne L. (Parsons) Mallett. He was born in Chelsea, October 13, 1941, the son of the late Edmund and Margaret (Porier) Mallett. Mr. Mallett, whose primary job was working as an HVAC Technician with Local 537, worked for Johnson Controls, United Technologies, and the Transportation Department of MITRE Corporation. He also worked as a custodian in the Billerica schools. Edmund was a former member of the Mason Lodge in Lowell. Edmund volunteered at the Billerica Senior Center and served on an advisory group of Billerica residents for the Commission on Disabilities. He was a member of the Burlington American Legion and Color Guard. He loved writing editorials and submitting articles to the Lowell Sun. Mr. Mallet was passionate about politics and enjoyed watching and critiquing movies. A computer enthusiast, he was tech savvy. A lover of adventure, he had the opportunity to fly over the Grand Canyon in a helicopter as well as pilot a houseboat on Lake Powell. Besides his wife, he is survived by his three daughters, Linda Galvao of MA, and Cheryl Donlon and Jennifer Lopez, both of NH, and his three sons, Edmund A. Mallett and William Undzis, both of NH and Arnold Undzis of Colorado. He also leaves his 12 loving grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren who meant the world to him. He will be missed by all he touched.
