Clara Julia (Fisher) Burke, age 89, of Billerica, died Monday, November 11, 2013, at Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry Burke whom she wed in 1947. She was born in Boston, December 14, 1923, the daughter of the late Anthony and Ella (Flavin) Fisher. She grew up in Medford. Clara worked at Rust Craft Company for many years before moving to Billerica in 1985. A member of the Greenwood Club, she was chaplain there as well as chaplain and secretary for the Carriage Club at the Billerica Senior Housing. Clara was very active in the New Colony Baptist Church and considered its members her extended family. She is survived by her two daughters, Carol (Phillips) Delmonico and her husband, Stephen, of Billerica and Patricia (Wright) Barker and her husband, Tom, of Epsom, NH, and her son, Thomas Burke and his wife, Darlene, of Salem, MA. She also leaves her 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, her brother, Lawrence Fisher of Littleton, and her two sisters, Ree Wells of Port Charlotte, FL and Mary Landers of Tewksbury. She was also the sister of the late Albert Fisher.
