This is a shocking loss. Brian was one of a kind. He was a great friend and classmate at Matignon and BC. Despite being a fierce athlete in his day, he was a very gentle man and a true gentleman. My sympathies to his family. Rest in peace my friend.
My deepest sympathy to Mrs. Cashman, Susan and the entire Cashman family. We are all truly blessed to have known Brian and I believe we all learned from him about how to be a good human being, and friend. It's hard to accept that Brian will no longer be with us in this life, but I am a better person for having known him.
Got the news about Brian a couple of days ago. Been thinking long and hard how to put into words what a friendship spanning over 40 years means and how the loss of that friend will be internalized. We all agree that Brian was one of the most jovial, trustworthy, and caring people who ever lived. He touched positively everyone he met. Can anyone name a person who didn't genuinely like Brian? That, my friends, is testament to a life well lived. Godspeed, Brian.
God bless you Brian know that you were adored by all. Many memories of you over the last few days ... you have brought our class closer together. We will not for you!
Sympathies to the Cashman family for their loss. Brian was a trusted friend in high school and at BC. I have many happy/funny memories of times spent with Brian. We once actually visited the Marine recruiting office to investigate joining via the 'buddy system'. We also shared a special bond as football co-captains in high school. While I have only seen him sporadically over the years he was always the same guy who made you feel good when you spent time with him. So easy to talk with even after prolonged periods of time. I feel a huge loss with Brian's passing but know he is at peace following a life well spent.
So shocked and sad to hear of this news today, I only knew Brian from my Freshman year in High School when I attended Matignon High School, but remember Brian well. Such sad news...my sympathy and prayers to all his loved ones
