John E. Harris, age 76, died Thursday, October 30, 2014, at his home in Billerica. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn A. (Piper) Harris. Born in Melrose, December 10, 1937, he was the son of the late Kendall and Lula (Forbes) Harris. He worked for Packard Paper in Peabody as a machinist for 30 years and later worked as a custodian for the Woburn School Department and Woodbriar Nursing Home of Wilmington. Besides his wife, he is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Frank Barlow of Chelmsford and Denise and Peter Waddell of Nashua, NH, and his son, Peter Harris. Other survivors include his 6 sisters, 2 brothers, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the loving grandfather of Kara Lamos and her husband, Kyle, Nichole Waddell, and Melynda Barlow, and great grandfather of Keagan and Kyleigh Lamos.
