Obituary of Arthur F. Dady

Dady of Cambridge, March 7, 2016, Arthur F. Dady, age 90, passed peacefully with several family members around him. Beloved son of the late Arthur Dady and Mary E. (Kilcourse) Dady. Devoted brother of Paul Dolson of CT, Ruth Merrullo of Waltham, Claire Johnson of FL, the late Charles E. Dady, Olive Tebbits, Jack Dolson, Terry Dolson, Walter Dolson, Charlie Dolson and Robert Dolson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Arthur lived through his teens in Guysborough County Nova Scotia, sent there to his grandfather and great aunt by his Mom during the Depression. He returned to the US and proudly joined The Army (Korean Veteran). He then worked at Hood Rubber on the assembly line in difficult conditions, until it closed. He then became a Boston Cab Driver. He was extremely happy being outside and the freedom it afforded after working in a factory. Arthur was known for his kindness and generosity to his family and friends. He often did without to give most of his paycheck to someone in need. He lived at LBJ apartments in Cambridge for many years. He was known to give rides and do errands for the many friends and acquaintances, living there. He was a member of the Canadian Club. He was a frequent Communicant of St Mary’s Church in Cambridge, where he was very much loved. Funeral from the John C.
