Vincenzo "Vinnie" Sorano, age 83, died, unexpectedly, Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at his home in Billerica. He was the beloved husband of the late Catherine E. (Cutcliffe) Sorano. Born August 24, 1926, in Milwaukee, WI, he was the son of the late Frank and Vincenza (Busciano) Sorano. A 20 year Navy Veteran, he served during WWII. He retired from Polaroid in Waltham after 20 years in the HVAC department. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Billerica Elks. A member of the Baldwin Apples Square Dance Club, he participated in Single Square Dancing, Round Dancing, and karaoke. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Gallagher of Dracut, Kathleen Burke and her husband Ralph of Billerica, and Sharon Bertrand and her husband David of Burke, VA, his son, Dan Sorano and his wife Nansi of Lowell, and his 10 loving grandchildren, Ralph Burke, Jr., Scott Burke, Lisa Frazier, Kimberly Bertrand, Mark Burke, Amy Burke, Eric Bertrand, Sean Gallagher, Emily Sorano, and Rachel Sorano. He was also the father of the late Patricia Sorano.
