My deepest sympathy to the Carrabino family.
I was a student of his way back in 1970-1971 at the Longfellow Elementary School.
Mr. C had a passion for his students that shined brightly and made you want to be the best student you could be. He certainly was a special person and I am a better person for having known him.
Mr. C will always hold a special place in my heart.
Rest In Peace Mr C. Rest In Peace!!

To the Carrabino family I send my deepest condolences. I am sorry for your great loss. Death is very devastating. Nothing can compare to the deep pain you feel. Although the pain does not easily disappear, prayer to God can bring you comfort. God is described at 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 as the "God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials." God invites you at
1 Peter 5:7 to "Throw all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

My heart goes out to the entire Carrabino family, with a special hello to John Jr.my Longfellow School classmate.
Mr. C. was hands down the most inspirational and entertaining teacher I ever had ! He made learning English grammar fun with his original song and dance routines. He instilled in me a life long love or poetry. I will always remember him when reading Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost, which I had to memorize and recite to the class. The poem ends with, And miles to go before I sleep. And miles to go before I sleep.
RIP Mr. C. Say hello to Claude for me !

I would like to offer my condolences. Mr. Carrabino was my 7th grade teacher at the Longfellow in 1962 . I remember him fondly. He made learning fun and was so very kind to all. I visited him later on at his market in Inman Square. He was an inspiration and I followed in his footsteps as a public school teacher for 38 years. Thank you, Mr. Carrabino.

Uncle Johnny I know the angels are not just smiling, but laughing today! Are you conjugating inappropriate verbs with them? Did you bring them your Rubber Chicken? I will always remember holidays at Aunt Mary's and Uncle Brother's, the shenanigans you were always in the middle of yet pled the innocent bystander when we were being scolded. May God Bless You and give your family peace at this time. You will be missed!
