Obituary of Constance M. Crear
Constance M. (Amori) Crear, age 89, died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley in Billerica, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late John J. Crear, Sr. She was born in East Boston, November 8, 1919, the daughter of the late Gaspari and Gerlanda (Sarmmartino) Amori. Constance was very active in the Town of Billerica where she lived for 61 years. She worked as a Senior Companion for 15 years at the Senior Center in Billerica. She also devoted much of her time volunteering for organizations such as Project Beam, Special Olympics, the Jimmy Fund, and the Grid Iron Moms� Club. A charter member of the Lioness Club and a member of Grange Club, she also organized a group of volunteer seniors called the MelloTones who performed at nursing homes throughout the area. Mrs. Crear worked with her husband in raising funds for the building of St. Theresa Church on Boston Road in Billerica. She is survived by her 5 sons, Richard Crear of Yarmouth, ME, James J. Crear of Pelham, NH, David J.Crear of Chelmsford, Chris J. Crear of Colorado, and Brent J. Crear of Dracut, and her daughter, Nancy Harrison Bush of Hudson, NH. She also leaves her 23 loving grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late John J. Crear, Jr. and the late W. Anthony Crear, the Grandmother of the late Vincent Crear, and the Great-grandmother of the late Christine Park.
