Robert F. LaBonte, age 74, died Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at his home in Billerica. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen A. (Murphy) LaBonte. Born in Lowell, May 20, 1943, he was the son of the late Albert and Estelle (Poitras) LaBonte. Robert, a United States Army veteran, served during the Vietnam War. He retired as a mechanic foreman after 26 years from Penske Truck Rental in Medford. He enjoyed volunteering many hours with the Billerica Emergency Management /Specialist Police Department. Bob also enjoyed camping and riding his motor cycle. He was a member of the Merrimack Valley MA/NH Hogs, Chapter #3185. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Robyn and David Payson of Rindge, NH, his two sons, Jason LaBonte of Lowell and Jonathan LaBonte of Manchester, NH as well as his brother, George LaBonte of Austria and his nephew, George LaBonte, Jr. of Hudson, NH. He also leaves his four loving grandchildren.
