Obituary of Mary Christine Sweeney

Sweeney of Beacon Hill, Boston; Mary Christine (Grace) Sweeney died Saturday, October 21, 2017 following a courageous battle with cancer. Mary was the beloved wife of 34 years of Paul O. Sweeney. She was the devoted daughter of Mary Rose (Sheehan) Grace of Concord and the late Leo Grace, Sr., and sister of Leo Grace, Jr. and his wife, Mary Anne of Concord and John Grace and his wife, Diane, also of Concord. Mary was the loving daughter-in-law of Oliver and Hannah Sweeney of York, Maine and the sister-in-law of Carl Sweeney and his wife, Maureen of Woburn, Scott Sweeney and his wife, Ingrid of Ashby and Jill (Sweeney) Kitco and her husband, Joseph of Berwick, Maine. Mary was the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Mary was born in Cambridge and grew up in Lexington. She was a graduate of Lexington High School, Class of 1977 and Boston College, Class of 1981. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 1981 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
