Burlington, MA - Agnes Patricia (Meade) Kent, age 91, a resident of Burlington MA for 61 years, passed away after a long illness on January 10, 2018. Beloved wife of the late John C. Kent, Sr. to whom she was married 57 years. Born March 16, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Meade. Pat graduated from Medford High School in 1943. She attended Newton-Wellesley Nursing school for one year before her father passed. She then worked for the New England Telephone Company where she met her future husband. They married in 1953 and together they had eight children. At the age of 50 Pat graduated with high honors from Middlesex Community College. She worked for ten years at Unitrode as an accountant. She volunteered at St. Theresa’s CCD office for over 25 years and was a Eucharistic Minister. Furthermore, she was a member of St. Margaret’s Women’s Club and St. Malachy’s Mr. & Mrs. Club. In her free time, Pat enjoyed traveling and spending time at the family cottage on Little Sebago Lake in Maine. She won many first-place awards for her expertise in knitting and crocheting. Kent, Jr. and his wife, Paula of Nashua, NH, Elaine Ingram of Wilmington and her husband, the late David Ingram, Patricia Kent and her husband, John Ahern, of Concord, Barbara Iadarola and her husband, Barry, of Billerica, Michael Kent and his wife, Robin, of Billerica, Paul Kent and his wife, Claire, of Northwood, NH, Philip Kent and his wife, Lisa, of Stoneham, Susan Nicosia and her husband, Michael, of Methuen. She is survived by her sister Margaret McCluskey of Winthrop, brother, John Meade, DMD, and his wife, Sue, of Winchester and the late Eleanor Harmon; and 24 loving grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica, Monday, January 15, at 8:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Theresa’s Church, Billerica at 9:00 AM.
