Yvette is my grandmother, I will never forget the hundreds of text and calls I would receive during and after every soccer game I played. She was always my biggest supporter, even after a tough loss. I will never forget being in 8th grade and making waffles together at 1am. “How lucky am I to be making waffles with you right now?” At the time, I didn’t know special those words were. Forever and always, I miss you.
